TOPEKA (KSNT) – A Wamego teenager is hosting family events in Topeka to raise money for a mission trip to Ecuador.
Josie Mehl, 19, traveled to the South American country last year, and is now gearing up for her second visit next summer.
“Kind of the first time we went, we were experiencing everything for the first time. So, the second time around, now I kind of know a little bit about the community,” Mehl said.
On Friday, June 14 she is hosting a family movie night at 6:30 PM at the Topeka Bible Church. Parents can drop off their children or come with them to watch “Finding Nemo.” To reserve a spot, email jason@discovertbc.com.
