HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The man who was found dead with obvious signs of trauma in a parking lot in Henrico County Sunday evening has been identified by police.

The man has been identified as 23-year-old Lamontae Aubrey Scott, of the Sandston area of Henrico County.

At 7:24 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the 4600 block of Grand Ledge Court for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Scott in the parking lot with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives continue to investigate the shooting, which is currently considered to be a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective M. Rosser at 804-928-0273.
