Investigators have not confirmed how many passengers were on the plane but believe everyone on board the plane died in the crash, fire officials said in an update Monday night.

A plane flying from Longmont to Utah crashed into a Steamboat Springs mobile home park on Monday afternoon, killing all on board and starting a fire that engulfed two homes and other structures, according to Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue.

A Cessna 421 from Longmont that was heading to Ogden, Utah, crashed into the West Acres mobile home park, 2990 W. Acres Drive, at 4:23 p.m., engulfing two homes and several outbuildings, Steamboat Springs police and fire officials said on Facebook.

Investigators have not confirmed how many passengers were on the plane but believe everyone on board the plane died in the crash, fire officials said in an update at 7:12 p.m.

All mobile home residents have been accounted for, according to the fire department.

Witnesses reported seeing the plane having problems and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

The mobile home park is just south of the single-runway Steamboat Springs Airport, which is also known as Bob Adams Field.

This is the third plane crash in Colorado in less than two weeks.

A small airplane crashed in an Arvada neighborhood on June 7, killing Parker resident Melissa Brinkmann and injuring three others, and two people were injured when a small airplane crashed in a field near Larkspur on Sunday morning.
