HEBRON, ND (KXNET) — A small crop sprayer aircraft had to make an emergency landing near Hebron Monday morning due to engine failure.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the pilot said he was coming from spraying south of Glen Ullin and was headed back to Hebron around 7:30 a.m. Mountain Time, when the engine started to act abnormally.

The pilot tried to make it back to the Hebron airstrip when the engine quit altogether, causing him to land in the ditch on Morton County Road 89.

The pilot wasn’t injured due to the emergency landing, and he also contacted the proper authorities to report the landing.

The FAA and NTSB were notified and are currently investigating the emergency landing.
