TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka Police are assisting Union Pacific with a train incident that left one person dead.
Officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to a medical call at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, near North Kansas Avenue and Northeast Norris Street. A Union Pacific spokeswoman told 27 News a Union Pacific train struck and killed one individual. No Union Pacific crews were injured in this incident.
A TPD spokeswoman said officers are on scene and assisting Union Pacific who is leading the investigation.
