A little rain may have put a damper on some of the festivities, but the Shaggy Shuffle continued on Tuesday night.

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A little rain may have put a damper on some of the festivities, but the Shaggy Shuffle continued on Tuesday night.

Organizers from the Central Dakota Humane Society called it the “Soggy Shuffle” due to the rain.

Many families and their dogs made the trip to Sertoma Park to partake in the fundraising event.

Though the vendor booths did not happen, the fun was still had by all.

One kind-hearted nine-year-old even helped out with the fundraising effort. Willow Braaten raised money through her lemonade stand to give back to animals in need.

“I really like dogs and I really want all dogs to have homes, so I really wanted to raise money for a dog shelter,” Braaten shared.

Funds from the Shaggy Shuffle and Bratten’s lemonade stand will go to support the medical costs of the animals in the shelter.

If you still wish to donate, you can do so on their website.
