HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A person is fighting for their life in the hospital after firefighters rescued them from a Hanover County house fire Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, units with Hanover-Fire EMS were sent to the 10200 block of Jamestown Road for report of a house fire with a person trapped inside.
When they arrived, crews found a single-story house with fire pouring from its front. According to fire officials, the crew that got to the scene first was able to get inside and rescue the trapped person.

With the help of 9 total units, the fire was put out within twenty minutes of the initial dispatch.
According to fire officials, the person was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Six juveniles arrested in connection to over 25 motor vehicle thefts, other offenses in Hopewell
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
