RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — More details have been released about the Independence Day celebration being held at the Virginia State Capitol on July 4.
The Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250), the event’s organizer, has confirmed several speakers and performers for the free event, which will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.

According to the commission, the following are just a few of the speakers and performers that visitors can expect to see at the celebration that is “unlike any other”:

Thomas Jefferson, as portrayed by Kurt Smith of Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg Fifes & Drums
New Fellowship Gospel Choir
