MINOT, ND (KXNET) — A band is braving the weather to perform live at the Oak Park Amphitheater on Friday evening.

Myles Barcomb and the Sweet Dreams will be hitting the stage with their blend of instruments including the keyboard, guitar, vocals, saxophone, and trumpets.

It’s free to enjoy the live music, but food and drinks will cost you extra.

Showing off the park and providing something for people to do is exactly why organizers are hosting this event.

“And I wanted something that was a little more original. Something that isn’t just people covering bands. They are going to have original music, they are going to have original scores, they are even going to have some guest musicians on tonight so it is going to be really fun,” said Juan Vadell, the event coordinator for the Minot Parks District.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. at Oak Park in Minot, weather permitting.

There will also be different food trucks and vendors on hand.
