HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Chesterfield County man was arrested in Henrico County in connection to a road rage shooting that happened Friday morning.

Officers were called to Gaskins Road near the Interstate 64 interchange for a report of a shooting at around 10 a.m. on Friday, June 21.

Officers were able to locate a suspect and arrested 30-year-old Kenneth Neal Reynolds, of Chesterfield. Reynolds now faces a charge of maliciously shooting at or throwing missiles at a car.

No one was injured during the shooting.

According to AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesperson, Morgan Dean, similar road rage incidents have been happening more frequently over the years.

“Nationally in 2022, according to the group Everytown for Gun Safety, 554 people were shot during road rage incidents nationwide, leading to 413 injuries, and 141 deaths. That’s twice the number we saw in 2018,” Dean said.

Dean recommends drivers to move over if they’re dealing with an aggressive driver and to do their best to not to engage.

“If you really feel like it’s a threat to your life, get off the roadway, come to a public area, a police station, a fire station, a busy grocery store, where that person is less likely to target you, let them go on their way down the road,” Dean said.
