NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Anyone who loves to be outside is encouraged by the North Dakota Game & Fish to keep it clean.

According to a news release, all garbage, including used fireworks, should be put in the right trash receptacles. It’s common to see garbage piling up around full trash containers, but if trash cans are not available or are full, NDGF asks you to dispose of them at home.

Styrofoam containers are not biodegradable, but are often seen in various places. Other items that have found their way to public areas include tires, mattresses, and kitchen appliances.

Illegal dumping is expensive to clean up and takes a huge toll on the environment. It spoils the beauty, destroys habitats, pollutes waters, and injures wildlife.
