The Regional Transportation District’s southbound E line light rail service was replaced by shuttle buses after reports of smoking light rail electric lines near Englewood on Monday, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.
South Metro Fire Rescue received multiple reports of smoking light rail electric lines between County Line Road and Lincoln Avenue, according to a 2 p.m. post on X. All trains were stopped and no injuries were reported, according to the post.
The lines stopped smoking around 2:07 p.m. after RTD cut the power, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. The southbound E line was replaced by shuttle buses, according to RTD.
