RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Two people were hit by a vehicle on West Leigh Street in Richmond’s Carver neighborhood Sunday evening.
At 5:25 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1300 block of West Leigh Street for the report of a collision. When officers arrived, they found two people who were hit by a vehicle driving on West Leigh Street.
Police said both people had been standing on the driver’s side of a parked car in the parking lane of the road when they were hit.
One person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other person who was hit refused medical treatment at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and reported that the cause of the crash was a medical issue, according to police.
Officers continue to investigate the crash. As of Monday, June 24, police say no charges have been filed.
