Metro Detroit weather forecast for June 25, 2024, and beyond.
Strong thunderstorms move through Southeast Michigan this Tuesday morning, and will be capable of producing intense rainfall.
There is a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) that the storms will become severe across Southeast Michigan. Severe storms may bring strong winds and some flooding due to heavy rainfall.
Northwestern Michigan was seeing heavy storms early this morning. Those showers and storms were moving southeast toward our region, and were expected to be widespread between 7 a.m. and about noon.
Storms will taper off around noon, but another round of storms is possible this evening — although those storms will likely track along or south of the Ohio state line. Shower and storm chances will continue there throughout the afternoon and evening, though computer model data shows the stronger storms may just stay in Ohio.
We’ll dry out this breezy afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Wind gusts could reach 30 mph.
Tonight’s sunset is at 9:14 p.m.
We could see some midday scattered showers on Wednesday. We’ll stay on either side of 80 degrees through midweek, with temperatures rising to around 90 degrees by Saturday.
We’ll have another chance for rain late Friday into Saturday morning, potentially affecting the Rocket Mortgage Classic this weekend in Detroit. Showers and storms are more likely Saturday. Sunday looks to remain dry, so far.
