ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The third week of New Mexico high school football wrapped with Saturday’s slate of games. Here is a look at some scores and highlights.

Artesia made the trip down to the Field of Dreams in Las Cruces to take on Centennial. The Hawks soared to a 70-39 win to improve to 3-0. With the loss, Artesia is now 1-2.

Rio Grande and Atrisco Heritage each looked to celebrate a victory for the first time this season. In the end, the Jaguars were victorious.

Del Norte hosted Manzano as the Knights honored the 50th anniversary of its only state championship team. After a 20-nothing lead, the celebration was short lived. Manzano came back to win 42-26.

St. Pius welcomed Moriarty to Community Stadium. The Pintos jumped out to a 22-0 lead in the first quarter, however the Sartans mounted a comeback to win 38-29.

Albuquerque private schools Albuquerque Academy and Hope Christian met up at Richard Harper Memorial Field. The Chargers took control from the start and got the win 40-14.

In a class 2A clash of unbeatens, Legacy Academy hosted Hozho Academy at Bernalillo High School. The Silverbacks first season in 11-man football continues to be a success, as Legacy won 53-3.
