Rain chances are very low across New Mexico Today. Temperatures stay above average for most of the state.

Dry air being brought in by westerly winds has officially taken hold of New Mexico. As a result rain chances are low to nonexistent for the state. These conditions are expected to continue through Friday as well.

Temperatures are hot today for most of New Mexico. Central down to Southern New Mexico will see high’s today in the 90’s. Down in the Southeast, Roswell has the opportunity set new record high temperatures today and tomorrow.

Spotty Showers will return to Southern and Western New Mexico on Saturday. However, this rain will be minimal. The best chance for rain on Saturday will be in the Sacramento Mountains.

On Sunday moisture returns to the state. A tropical storm off the Coast of Mexico/ California will allow for large amounts of sub-tropical moisture to be funneled into New Mexico. On Sunday, scattered storms will be nearly statewide. This moisture will stick around into early next week providing scattered to widespread storms on Monday and Tuesday.
