On September 14, 2024, at the Mueang Phitsanulok District Office, Phitsanulok Province, Mr. Itthiporn Boonprakong, Chairman of the Election Commission or EC, together with Mr. Phongsak Rattanamontian, Director of the Phitsanulok EC, police officers and relevant officials jointly inspected the readiness in delivering and receiving election equipment in the election of the Member of Parliament for Constituency One to replace vacant positions, a total of 208 units.

During the inspection, the EC chairman spent about 20 minutes talking to local officials, giving encouragement and advice on how to work with election officials, asking them to perform their duties carefully, announce the scores slowly and clearly, and follow the law.

In addition, Mr. Itthiporn gave an interview about preventing corruption during the last night before the election, stating that there is a team of inspectors who are continuously performing their duties until tomorrow. Currently, there are no reports of complaints about election fraud. He is also glad that it is a good phenomenon in the election.

As for the counting period after the polls close, Mr. Itthiphon expects it to take no more than 1 hour and 30 minutes, if counting according to the process from 5:00 p.m. when the polls close. When the counting is complete, the committee at the polling station will post the unofficial counting results. The process that will take a long time is checking the accuracy of the information received. It is expected that around 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., all unofficial counting results will be announced.

For observation, Mr. Itthiphon stated that candidates and observers can participate, but the public will have another area. Therefore, he would like to invite Phitsanulok residents to exercise their right to vote and be observers at the vote counting points.

Mr. Itthiphon reiterated that he was not worried about anything because yesterday he had talked with the governor of the province and the commander of the Phitsanulok Provincial Police. In addition, many of the committee members had performed their duties many times and knew how to work well.
