The troop has been a pillar in the community providing a safe and supportive space for young boys to learn and grow. For a century now the troop has called Temple Beth El in Springfield its home creating a sense of tradition and continuity for its members.

The troop’s committee chair says the troop shaped countless young boys into confident, successful men.

“Along the way, we’ve had a whole lot of fun,” expressed Troop 32 Committee Chair Fritz Schmidt. “The boys have had and learned a lot of life skills and had a lot of fun in the outdoors, visiting historic sites throughout the state and the country and learning how to be good citizens.”

A proclamation by the mayor officially declared today as ‘Boy Scout Troop 32 Day.’
