Suspects were detained in Pittsfield after several online posts and conversations involving possible threats to schools were investigated.
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Parents at Pittsfield Public Schools received an email after the administration was made aware of online posts and conversations involving possible threats to schools on Monday.
School Superintendent Joseph Curtis said that although there was no evidence that a specific Pittsfield school was named, the Pittsfield police located the parties involved and were detained. Pittsfield police say that there are no active or credible threats.
Curtis said additional information will be shared if there are further updates. He reminds the community to report anything they see or hear immediately.
