STORRS, CT. (WWLP) – A 40-year-old man accused of sending emails and posting poems professing his love for UConn basketball player Paige Bueckers was in court on Monday.
Earlier this summer, a UConn employee reported receiving several rambling emails from Robert Cole Parmalee, saying things like “he is a member of the royal family, a sperm donor, and wants to marry Bueckers.”
Police also learned of an arrest warrant for Parmalee in Oregon for arson, where he allegedly tried to burn down a residence with his roommate still inside. Parmalee faces charges of breach of peace, harassment, and e-stalking.
Parmalee is due back in court on October 22nd.
