“Threats against schools, special events and businesses are taken very seriously by the MNPD,” a press release from MNPD reads, in part. “Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.”

Tuesday’s arrest is one of the latest school threat arrests made by Middle Tennessee agencies — Rutherford County authorities arrested two juveniles in relation to a school threat. On Monday, a student was charged for making a threat against Cookeville high school.

Last week, Wilson County school officials investigated multiple threats within 24 hours, one of which led to the arrest of a teenage girl. In Nashville last week, two eighth graders from separate Nashville schools were arrested for making school threats.
