Pattaya police apprehended a 51 year old Thai man accused of robbing a street food vendor while pretending to place an order. The suspect was arrested just hours after the incident.

Police officers from Bang Lamung Police Station arrested the suspect, Sakon, at 9pm on Wednesday, September 18, at his residence in the Eua Athon Naklua housing estate in Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province. At the time of his arrest, Sakon was preparing to take a shower and was found wearing only a towel.

During the search of Sakon’s residence, police discovered some of the stolen items hidden in a bag and the clothing worn during the robbery. A black Honda PCX motorbike used in the crime was also found at the house.

Sakon confessed to the crime and was taken to Bang Lamung Police Station. The victim, Krathiam, a 52 year old food vendor, identified Sakon as the…
