ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County crews spent Friday morning cleaning up an illegal dumping site. The area near the Flying J off I-40, near 102nd St. had trash, graffiti, mattresses and other debris.


First violin played in space made at shop in Albuquerque

Crews could be seen carrying bags while others used heavy machinery to help clear the area. “There is a lot of debris out here. We have some unhoused individuals here who are camping out, and we’re basically trying to make this a better area,” BernCo Director of Operations and Maintenance Antonio Jaramillo said.

The county says cleaning sites like this is one of its biggest initiatives and they are planning for more in the future.
