Nashville has been selected for a non-stop flight to Germany and is a finalist for a flight to Ireland.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — New, non-stop international flights will soon be coming to the Nashville International Airport.

A letter from the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority states Nashville has been selected for a non-stop flight to Germany and is a finalist for a flight to Ireland.

Discover Airlines reportedly plans to start flying non-stop from Nashville to Frankfurt, Germany three times a week with 270 passengers.


Southwest Airlines launching flights from Nashville to 3 new destinations

These flights are said to start in May 2025. The airport is waiting for the final approval from Discover’s parent company, the Lufthansa Group.

Nashville is also a finalist for a non-stop ticket to Dublin on Aer Lingus. BNA should know for certain by late September.

Service to Ireland could start in May or June of 2025. BNA is likely up against at least three other airports for the opportunity.


WestJet adding new nonstop service to Canada at Nashville International Airport

The Airport Authority is working to ensure the Nashville tourism industry can support the new flights.

These two flights alone could generate up to $60 million in economic activity for Nashville and Tennessee each year.
