FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) – The Patriots took a tough loss Thursday night to the New York Jets.
The Patriots played against a divisional rival and let’s just say, it didn’t go too well for them. The final score was 24-3 and their only points came from a field goal in the second period. So far this season, quarterback Jacoby Brisset has been sacked 25 times in the first three games, and last night, rookie 3rd round pick Drake Maye went into the game.
After the game, Head Coach Jerrod Mayo said the good thing is it’s like a mini bye week since their next game isn’t for another 10 days. He said there is time for players and coaches to reset and look at what they can do better.
“I think they are doing ok, for rebuilding a team. I mean we really didn’t have much since Brady left and I think they are going to rebuild a team. I think in a few years you will see a decent team again,” said Robert Moretz of Otis.
Moretz knew there were going to be some ups and downs following the Tom Brady era, but he has hope that they will start to do better and continue the rebuilding process.
