RICHMOND, KY. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – After falling to their first two FBS opponents, Eastern Kentucky evened their record to 2-2 on Saturday with a big win over Morehead State.

On offense, quarterback Matt Morrissey threw for two touchdowns and 162 yards.

The running back room continued to be a bright spot f

or the Colonels. The offense rushed 301 total yards, averaging about seven yards per carry. All that helping to account for three touchdowns on the ground from Joshua Carter, Brayden Latham, and Telly McCallister.

The Colonels’ defense looked strong as well. Vito Tisdale and Mike Smith Jr. each recorded one interception. EKU capitalized on turnovers, outscoring MSU 21-3 in points off giveaways.
The Colonels will remain at home next week, taking on Robert Morris on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.
