According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the man is wanted for questioning in the Sept. 1 shooting of Francisco Anx, 27.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Local police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man they say was seen after a shooting in southeast Nashville.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the man is wanted for questioning in the Sept. 1 shooting of Francisco Anx, 27.

Anx and his friend were reportedly outside an apartment on Patricia Drive when they were approached by four suspects, described as Black men, police said. The men demanded Anx and his friend’s belongings, according to police.

When Anx fought back, one of the suspects shot him in the stomach then shoved the friend to the ground, threatening to kill him if he moved. The men then took his wallet, passport, ID and cash before fleeing on foot.


Man dead after ‘robbery-related’ shooting

Anx was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The man wanted for questioning was seen after the murder in a BMW SUV at a Mapco on Linbar Drive and the following day at a Shell on Bell Road. Police believe he may frequent the Bell Road and Cane Ridge area of town.

Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 in homicide cases.
