WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – “Welcome to the biggest party on the East Coast,” The Big E’s website says as the final week begins.
The Big E is open daily beginning at 8 a.m. Monday through Thursday it closes at 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday it closes at 11 p.m. On the final day, Sunday, September 29th they are open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
It’s not always all about the food, there are an abundance of things to do and see while on the fairgrounds. Ride a mechanical bull, watch the world’s greatest frisbee dog show, and learn how glassblowing is done, just to name a few.
The big parade marches down the Avenue of States every night at 6 p.m. featuring high school bands, the Clydesdales, and Mardi Gras floats. Lastly, don’t miss the circus spectacular that performs daily at 1 p.m. 4 p.m., and 7 p.m.
