A study on an amnesty bill will be submitted to parliament for discussion on Thursday, PM’s Office Minister Chousak Sirinil said yesterday.

Mr Chousak said the committee he chairs will submit its report on the draft law on Thursday after wrapping up in July.

Mr Chousak, also the ruling Pheu Thai Party’s legal expert, said the document outlines various options regarding the wording of the bill, but it would be up to the government to endorse the study.

There is no telling if the government will sponsor an amnesty bill or let other parties initiate the legislation….
