This morning, areas of rain and storms are weakening in our area. A cloudy and humid start to the Tuesday will give way to some peeks of sunshine and warming into the middle 80s. This heating plus the approaching cold front will bring rain and storms in a greater coverage. A few severe storms are possible due to the ample moisture and heat available for the cold front to aid in storm production. The cold front stalls out Tuesday night near the Cumberland Plateau.

WEDNESDAY

By Wednesday, we are all in the cooler air and rain chances decrease. The front will become stationary in the far eastern areas into East Tennessee, where additional rain & storms are expected. Temperatures are in the 70s to low 80s for highs.

After Wednesday, our next weather focus will turn to the tropical system in the Gulf that will interact with a lingering upper low over the Midwest. This could place our region (Ohio & TN Valley) for a decent amount of rainfall. While several days away, stay tuned for the latest forecast changes and track.
