WINDSOR LOCKS, CT. (WWLP) – Traffic was backed up on I-91 South in Connecticut Tuesday afternoon following a deadly crash.

According to NBC Boston, two pickup trucks were in the right lane of I-91 around 1:20 p.m. when the second truck veered off the highway and then back into the lane, hitting the first truck. The second pickup truck then went back off the highway and into the grass where it rolled over.

Connecticut State Police say 38-year-old James Macpherson of Manchester was taken to the hospital where he died. A passenger in Macpherson’s pickup suffered some injuries and the driver of the other pickup truck was not injured.
