A man missing in Henry County has been confirmed to be a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell.

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man reported missing in Henry County has been identified as a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell. The U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) confirmed to News 2 the missing man, John Michael Jackson, is Pfc. John Jackson.

Director of Public Affairs Lt. Col. Marty Meiners told News 2 Fort Campbell is “working closely with civil authorities in their efforts to ensure he is found as soon as possible.”

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Jackson was last seen in the Paris Landing area Wednesday, Sept. 25. His vehicle was parked on the bridge there but he was nowhere to be found.

HCSO is working with the Henry County Rescue Squad and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency to continue searching on the water.

Anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 731-642-1672.
