NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A total of 12 stadiums across the U.S. — including one in Tennessee — will stage matches at the new FIFA Club World Cup 2025, officials announced Saturday.
The historic tournament kicks off on June 15, 2025, with the 32 best clubs in the world set to play for the only official title of FIFA Club world champions, the association said in a news release on Saturday, Sept. 28. The teams — which will come from each of the six international conferences — will reportedly compete in 62 matches over the course of 29 days.
According to officials, all roads will lead to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 finals will be played on July 13, 2025, just over a year before the venue stages the FIFA World Cup 26 finals.
FIFA also confirmed 11 more venues for next year’s tournament: Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, GEODIS Park in Nashville, Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Lumen Field in Seattle, and Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
Multiple Nashville leaders responded to the announcement Saturday evening.

As we prepare to welcome fans from around the world, this moment reflects the growth of soccer in the U.S. and solidifies Nashville’s place as a premier destination for world-class soccer. We look forward to playing our part in what will be an unforgettable chapter in soccer history in North America in both 2025 and 2026.”

According to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, “Football is the most popular sport on the planet, and in 2025 a new era for club football will kick off when FIFA stages the greatest, most inclusive and merit-based global club competition right here in the United States.”
Officials said Infantino shared the news at the Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park while simultaneously announcing FIFA’s new four-year partnership with Global Citizen to mobilize fans around the world to help end extreme poverty and provide access to education for millions of children.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will feature 12 fantastic stadiums where a new chapter in football’s global history will be written by great players from the 32 best clubs in the world. This new FIFA competition is the only true example in worldwide club football of real solidarity and inclusivity, allowing the best clubs from Africa, Asia, Central and North America and Oceania to play the powerhouses of Europe and South America in an incredible new World Cup which will impact enormously the growth of club football and talent globally.

With the draw set for December, the association said only two of the 32 teams have yet to be confirmed: one from South America and one representing the host country.
Additional details about the draw — which will see “the 32 best clubs in the world divided into eight exciting groups of four,” officials said — have yet to be released. However, the tournament match schedule is set to be published shortly after the draw.
