CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Angela Santiago Foundation will host the first-ever “Angela Santiago Memorial Ride” on Saturday at the Moose Lodge in Chicopee.


Big E fairgoers celebrate “Salute to Chicopee Day”

According to the Angela Santiago Foundation, the event will honor the legacy of Angela to support the foundation established in her name. All proceeds will be donated in the form of scholarships to a total of two Chicopee High and two Chicopee Comp High School seniors.

The event will feature a motorcycle memorial ride, followed by an after-party with live music, local vendors, and family-friendly activities. Registration runs from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with the ride set for 11 a.m.

Angela Santiago, the 33-year-old Chicopee police officer, was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2020 on Interstate 91 in East Windsor, Connecticut. Angela was also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Angela Santiago Foundation aims to continue its work by empowering and inspiring children through education, sports, fitness, and recreation.
