DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a night of community fun and engagement on Tuesday after being rescheduled due to Tropical Storm Debby.

Deputies say the event is designed to strengthen community spirit and enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

“National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the community, build stronger relationships, and show our appreciation for the support we receive. We look forward to seeing everyone there for a night of fun and connection,” said Chief Sam Richardson, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say the event will have games, vehicle displays, K9 demonstrations, drone demonstrations, and other fun activities.

The event will be held at Ashley River Park located at 200 Renken Road in Summerville from 4 – 7 p.m.

Deputies say guests should bring a non-perishable food item for admission to contribute to local food banks and blessing boxes.
