Rain showers continue through the evening hours as what is left of Hurricane Helene and the low pressure it merged with moves to the southeast. Don’t put the rain gear away just yet, as a cold front will sweep across the state Tuesday bringing another chance for showers Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Behind Tuesday’s cold front, a high pressure settles in mid-week providing a break from the rain. Wednesday, temperatures dip to the low 70s but spark right back to the upper 70s and low 80s Thursday and Friday.

A dry cold front will push through this weekend allowing for more seasonal highs in the mid 70s.
