CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston-based Allegiance Flag Supply is looking to honor 100 men and women who have served the country.

People can nominate a veteran to receive a 100% American-made flag through their Flags for Heroes campaign.

Allegiance will collect nominations from across the country from October 1 through November 10. The compelling nominations will be narrowed to 100 heroes that will receive a 3’x 5’ American Flag set, made by hand in Charleston, SC, in time for Veterans Day.

“We’re asking people to tell us about a Veteran in their lives,” said Katie Lyon, Co-Founder of Allegiance Flag Supply. “It could be a story about their time in the military and how they served, or why they served. I think it could also be how they continue to be a hero in their community after returning to civilian life.”
