PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Pittsfield Police Department is investigating after a suspicious vehicle reportedly followed a child to school on Monday.


Massachusetts county ranks among best destination for fall foliage

According to the Pittsfield Police Department, a student in the Egremont School district reported that a suspicious vehicle appeared to be following them on their way to school. The student went to a familiar house nearby and reported what had happened.

An adult from the house snapped a picture of the vehicle and officers were able to get the registration number and traced it to a local resident. Officers have made contact with the driver and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

The police department is reminding residents that investigations take time and to always report suspicious people or vehicles to their local police department.
