ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Finance company WalletHub has released its 2024 Best Small Cities in America study. Among the Top 20 is Saratoga Springs coming in at 17.
To determine the rankings, WalletHub looked at more than 1,300 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 across several key dimensions including affordability, economic health, education and health, quality of life, and safety.
Saratoga Springs was in the 99th percentile with an overall score of 68.36 out of 100. For the other key dimensions, Saratoga Springs ranked:
Affordability: 621/1,318
Economic health: 262/1,318
Education & Health: 52/1,318
Quality of Life: 43/1,318
Safety: 461/1,318
A few other small cities in the Capital Region also made the WalletHub list. Albany had an overall score of 61.73, Schenectady scored 58.08, and Troy scored 57.63, in the 74th, 52nd, and 48th percentiles, respectively.
