SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Schenectady Board of Education passed weapon detection measures for the district’s schools. There have been recent incidents of violence in the district.
Multiple fights have broken out at Schenectady High School, including one involving a knife. The board passed a measure to implement weapon detection and additional mental health support.
The resolution is taking effect immediately.
