A man accused of raping a woman months ago at a Nashville park was taken into custody Tuesday over 800 miles away.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man accused of raping a woman months ago at a Nashville park was taken into custody Tuesday over 800 miles away.

Metro Nashville police said 28-year-old Ali Alladin Ali was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Minneapolis for charges stemming from the Feb. 6 incident.


Crime in Nashville: Reports of rape up 24% while homicide still down from 2023

According to authorities, Ali and the victim had met on a dating site prior to the alleged assault at Peeler Park, located off the Cumberland River in the Madison area.

Ali is expected to be brought back to Nashville soon to face charges for rape, police reported.
