ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The first-ever NB3 Matchplay collegiate golf tournament is set to take place at Twin Warriors next week. Both men’s and women’s teams from UNM, NMSU, Stanford and Texas will play in the first of its kind event to be broadcast on the Golf Channel.

The four schools will compete in a round robin match play format. A total of five points will be up for grabs in each match and the winner for both men and women will be determined by total points won. An overall school champion will also be determined by the cumulative total of men’s and women’s points.

Television coverage of the tournament will run from 3:30-6:30 p.m. MT on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Admission is free to patrons.

Proceeds from the NB3 Matchplay at Twin Warriors will be directed towards Native American youth on behalf of the Notah Begay III Foundation.
