Massachusetts county ranks among best destination for fall foliage

This is a popular time for many people to make their way to Massachusetts. Here in the state, the leaves start to change at the end of September and in the beginning of October is when the leaf peeping begins.

22News spoke with Barbara from the Berkshires who explains what the fall season is like in the area, “It’s gorgeous! We call them the leaf peepers, that is the people that come up and a lot of people come up from Texas because there are no maple trees there. A lot of people come up from this area and will stay weekends or more than that. The colors are just changing and it is gorgeous.”

She says there is nothing like a crisp autumn day in the Berkshires. Whether you’re going on a walk or simply driving through the area, you can experience the fall views.
