LEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Congressman Richard Neal will be announcing $1 million in funding for the Public Safety Building Project in Lee on Wednesday.


The top 10 taco spots in western Massachusetts

The Berkshire Eagle reports that the project includes a 37-thousand-square-foot public safety complex that combines fire and police departments in one building, and also adds a community space.

The funding for this project was included in the Fiscal Year 2024 spending bill that was signed into law by President Biden back on March 9th. This is one of thirteen Congressionally Directed Spending projects that was submitted by Congressman Neal, which totals around $15 million in investments throughout the First Congressional District of Massachusetts.

Wednesday’s announcement will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Lee Town Hall.
