CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Holy City Halloween, which operates a haunted attraction in downtown Charleston, offers people a chance to get into the spooky spirit while supporting Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

The attraction has transformed the old Woolfe Street Playhouse into a new realm of terror – a haunted meat slaughterhouse, drawing inspiration from the building’s origin as a meat market dating back to 1914.

Guests are offered a family-friendly fright between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and visitors can expect a more extreme scare after 7:30 p.m.

While the group at Holy City Halloween is looking forward to scaring and entertaining anyone who dare enter the slaughterhouse, they also wanted to find a way to help the many hurricane relief efforts in our area.

The attraction will donate portions of proceeds from Wednesday and Thursday to the American Red Cross, which will help our neighbors in the Upstate and western North Carolina impacted by the recent hurricane and catastrophic flooding.

“I have friends and family who have been affected by this. So, I definitely want to help out in whatever way I can, and Holy City Halloween has been so gracious to donate some of their proceeds to help the disaster relief,” said Taylor Ann Green. “It is very special to my heart that we are taking the lead to actually do something and give back.”

If you want to get spooked for a good cause, tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online.
