A man has died following a shooting on Hancock Street in Springfield. No arrests have been made at this time.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A man has died following a shooting on Hancock Street in Springfield early Wednesday morning.

According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, on Wednesday at 1:15 a.m., officers were sent to a ShotSpotter activation on the 200 block of Hancock Street. A man with gunshot wounds was found and taken to Baystate Medical Center. The man died due to his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. The Springfield Police Homicide Unit is investigating in partnership with the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit.
