LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A tragic incident has resulted in the death of a three-month-old baby due to alleged abuse at his home. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Greyson Torres, reporting that he died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.

In connection with his death, Amancio Torres-Trevino and Kaela Walker appeared in court Thursday, facing charges of first-degree criminal abuse. According to the arrest citation, the abuse occurred on September 29 at a residence on the 2800 block of Alumni Drive. The citation details that Torres-Trevino was alone with the child when the injuries were inflicted. Walker is accused of failing to report the abuse to law enforcement or social workers.

Both Torres-Trevino and Walker have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The couple is expected in court on Monday, October 7th, for a preliminary hearing.
