NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 47-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Cane Ridge neighborhood of Nashville Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Barnes Road.
Investigators believe Timothy Vetitoe was driving a Nissan Altima south on Old Hickory Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it ran the stop sign at Barnes Road.
The Altima was hit in the passenger side by a Dodge Dart traveling east on Barnes Road that had stopped for a stop sign before entering the intersection, according to Metro police.
Vetitoe’s vehicle went off into a field and rolled over. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metro police reported Vetitoe was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the Dodge was not seriously hurt in the crash.
No additional information was immediately released.
