A Springfield man, who was previously convicted of armed robbery, was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield man, who was previously convicted of armed robbery, was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition.

According to the Department of Justice, 25-year-old Robbie Delgado of Springfield served a year and a half in prison from a 2019 state conviction for armed robbery and armed assault with intent to rob in Hampden County.

On February 8th Delgado was arrested for having a Baretta .380 caliber semiautomatic handgun. He pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and was sentenced on Thursday to 40 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
