KINGS MOUNTAIN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police Post 7 in Richmond reported the discovery of a body identified as 61-year-old Millard ‘Clem’ Mason from Stanford, Kentucky.

The body was found in some woods near Robertstown Road in Kings Mountain.

Mason had been the focus of a search operation involving KSP troopers, detectives, and EMA search and rescue teams from surrounding counties over several days.

The Lincoln County Coroner pronounced Mason deceased, and an autopsy is scheduled at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort to determine the cause of death. Initial investigations suggest that foul play is not suspected.

KSP Post 7 Detective Frank Thornberry is leading the ongoing investigation, supported on scene by various KSP personnel, EMA search and rescue, and the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office.

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are conducting a search for 61-year-old Millard ‘Clem’ Mason, who was reported missing earlier this week.

Mason was last seen on Monday near Greenbriar Road in Stanford, wearing a flannel T-shirt and blue jeans.
